A 31" coin-operated crane machine with 180-degree prize visibility, full LED cabinet lighting, and flexible prize configurations for street locations, bars, bowling centers, and family entertainment centers.

Overview

The Toy Chest XL Winners Club Edition is a 31" crane machine from Smart Industries built around a sleek black cabinet, vibrant multi-point LED lighting, and a 180-degree full-view prize window. The Winners Club Edition introduces updated decals and enhanced visual elements while retaining the high-security, high-performance mechanics Smart Industries is known for. The cabinet is purpose-designed to perform in both family entertainment centers and adult-oriented street-route venues including bars, nightclubs, and bowling centers.

Smart Industries was established in 1979 by Gordon Smart and son Jeff Smart, and developed and sold the first US-manufactured crane in 1985. The company has grown from a traveling arcade operation into one of the world's leading manufacturers of coin-operated amusement equipment, specializing in claw cranes, redemption machines, and self-merchandisers. The Toy Chest XL Winners Club Edition is backed by an exclusive one-year limited warranty.

Key Features

180-Degree Full-View Prize Window

The cabinet features a 180-degree product window view, giving players a wide, unobstructed sightline to the prize field from the front and sides. This design keeps prizes visible and accessible-looking from multiple angles, supporting player engagement in both high-traffic and lower-supervision environments.

Full LED Cabinet Lighting Package

The Winners Club Edition includes LED lighting integrated throughout the cabinet: an LED prize door frame, LED front and side top marquee, LED edge-lit dual coin comparators, and LED edge lighting on both the upper and lower frame (floor casting). Bold new decals and vibrant visual graphics complement the lighting package to create strong visual presence on a route or floor.

High-Security Cabinet Construction

The console is built from 18-gauge steel with steel security padlock tabs on both the console and front glass door. The cabinet is designed to be tamper-resistant and coat hanger proof, and includes an independent locking coin box. Tempered safety glass is used throughout.

Play Till You Win Mode

"Play Till You Win" is included as an on/off dip switch setting, giving operators the ability to configure a guaranteed-win interval. The credit/timer display uses a 7-segment LED readout.

Flexible Prize Configuration

The high-volume capacity playfield accommodates plush, candy, jewelry, and novelty items. A medium claw assembly is included standard. Optional configurations — including a raised playfield for smaller items, a jewelry kit with back wall shelves and gravel, and small or large claw assemblies — allow operators to tailor the machine to different prize mixes without requiring a separate dedicated unit.

Interactive Sound System and DBA Ready

The machine includes an interactive sound system for audio feedback during play. It is also DBA (Dollar Bill Acceptor) ready, supporting cashless play configurations for locations where bill acceptors are preferred over coin-only operation. A DBA unit is not included standard and must be sourced separately.

How It Plays

Players insert coins or bills, then use the 4-way joystick to position the medium claw assembly over the prize of their choice within the 180-degree visible playfield. When the button is pressed, the claw descends to attempt to grab a prize and return it to the prize hole, which measures 7.5" x 9" on the 31" cabinet.

Operator Notes

Cabinet Size and Doorway Clearance

The 31" cabinet is sized to fit through standard doorways, making placement and relocation on route straightforward. A larger cabinet version is also available for operators who want a bigger playfield and prize hole.

Available Options and Upgrades

Several optional configurations are available: a raised playfield for displaying smaller items, a jewelry kit that includes a raised playfield, back wall display shelves, and gravel, standalone back wall display shelves, small or large claw assemblies in place of the standard medium claw, and a 220-volt AC transformer for international voltage requirements.

Security Features for Route and Street Locations

The independent locking coin box, steel padlock tabs on both the console and front glass door, coat hanger proof construction, and tamper-resistant cabinet design are particularly relevant for unattended street locations such as bars and bowling centers where direct operator oversight is limited.

Venue Versatility

While the machine is family-friendly in appearance and suited to all-ages FEC environments, the Winners Club Edition is also purpose-designed for bars, nightclubs, and adult-oriented street venues. The black cabinet and LED visual package are intended to blend with the aesthetics of those locations.
