Shipping policy
Most shipments arrive Monday through Friday during regular business hours. The carrier will call before delivery only if a Delivery Appointment or Notify Prior to Delivery service is requested when you place your order.
Delivery Time
Each delivery includes 20 to 30 minutes of free unloading time, depending on shipment size. If more time is needed, the carrier may apply detention fees. If damage is found before you sign the delivery receipt, any resulting detention fees are waived.
Inspecting Your Shipment
Before accepting the delivery, inspect both the exterior packaging and the interior contents for any damage or shortage. You must note all damages and shortages on the delivery receipt before signing. Signing a clean delivery receipt without noting issues means the carrier will reject any later claim. Photograph any visible damage to the crate or machine before the carrier leaves.
How to Note Damages and Shortages
- Visible damage you can identify: write the specific damage on the delivery receipt.
- Suspected damage you can't fully assess: write "damaged" on the delivery receipt as a general note. This protects your claim if interior damage shows up later.
- Shortage: note the missing item on the delivery receipt along with the condition of the packaging (intact or not).
- Damaged beyond repair: refuse the delivery and write "refused" on the delivery receipt. Contact us immediately so we can arrange a replacement or repair.
- Never write "subject to inspection." You must inspect before signing. "Subject to inspection" gives the carrier grounds to reject claims.
Best Practice
If the exterior packaging shows any damage at all, write "damaged" on the delivery receipt before you sign. It costs nothing to note damage, and it is the difference between a covered claim and a rejected one.
