The Smart Industries Prize Bay is a modular, multi-unit crane kiosk system that connects multiple claw machines into a single unified display per-station prize configuration, and a scalable "Build Your Bay" format new for 2025.

Overview

The Smart Industries Prize Bay (PB-24) is a configurable crane kiosk system introduced in 2025 that connects multiple claw machine units into a single cohesive center-room installation, starting at four stations and expandable to any number of bays. Each station can be independently configured for a different prize type — from plush and ticket payouts to jewelry, electronics, and RFID ticket systems — giving operators full control over their prize mix within one unified structure. Contiguous oceanographic-themed graphics running across all connected stations,  four-sided tempered safety glass panels create an open, high-visibility presentation designed for center-floor placement where all-around visibility is an advantage.

Key Features

Modular, Scalable Bay Configuration

The Prize Bay system begins at four crane units and can be extended to an unlimited number of stations, allowing operators to size the installation to their available floor space. Extension modules are available in both 31-inch and 41-inch configurations, each including two additional game units and a top marquee section, so the bay can be expanded in increments to fit virtually any floor plan. Each individual crane within the bay is configured independently, so the lineup can mix and match prize categories across a single connected structure.

Per-Station Prize Configuration Options

Each crane station in the bay can be set up for one of the following configurations: Plush (for stuffed animals and soft prizes), Ticket Rings (featuring 4-inch Smart patented Ticket Rings), RFID Tickets (using RFID-enabled ticket rolls), Floor LED Crystal Display (LEDs beneath clear crystals inside the playfield), Jewelry Kit (includes back wall shelves, a gravel floor, and modified prize fences for small valuables), or Electronics (modified prize fences for boxed electronics and premium items). The system also supports Push game configurations as an additional play-style option.

4-Sided Clear Glass Visibility

Tempered safety glass on all four sides of each unit — combined with a 180-degree product window view — gives players and passersby unobstructed sightlines to the prizes inside from any direction. This open construction makes the Prize Bay well-suited for center-room placement where all-around visibility is a practical advantage.

Oceanographic Theme Graphics

The underwater theme features fish, whales, sharks, dolphins, and other sea creatures rendered across contiguous graphics that flow seamlessly from one station to the next. This unified visual treatment gives the entire bay the appearance of a single designed installation rather than a row of individual machines.

High-Security Cabinet Construction

The cabinet is built from 18-gauge steel with steel security padlock tabs on both the console and front glass door, a tamper-resistant and coat-hanger-proof enclosure, and an independent locking coin box per station. The upper and lower frame uses LED-edged floor casting construction for structural integrity alongside the visual detailing.

Claw and Playfield Options

Operators can select from seven claw types for each station: Small, Medium, Medium-X, Large, Knobby, Candy 3-Scoop, and 2-Scoop Shovel Claw. The standard configuration includes a Medium Claw Assembly. A raised playfield option is available for displaying smaller items, and back wall display shelves can be added per station. The prize hole measures 7.5 inches by 9 inches on the standard model, or 10 inches by 14 inches on the 45-inch model.

How It Plays

Players use a 4-way joystick to position the claw over their target prize, then press to drop. Each station features a Credit/Timer Display with a 7-segment LED readout so players can track their credits and time remaining, and the interactive sound system provides audio feedback throughout gameplay. A "Play Till You Win" mode is available via dip switch, giving operators the option to keep players engaged until they successfully retrieve a prize.
