A dual-playfield crane machine where players try for larger plush prizes on the left side and always have a guaranteed-win option on the right.

Overview

The Smart Industries Double Up Premium (DBL41-PR) is a 41-inch dual-playfield crane machine that runs two independent game zones in a single cabinet footprint. The left side features a medium claw for grabbing larger plush prizes, while the right side uses a 3-finger scoop claw configured for candy or smaller prizes. A built-in "Play Till You Win" mode — toggled via dip switch — ensures every player walks away with something, keeping traffic at the machine steady.

Key Features

Dual Independent Playfields

The left playfield is set up for plush prizes using a medium claw, while the right playfield uses a 3-finger scoop claw suited for candy or smaller merchandise. Both sides operate independently within the same cabinet, effectively giving operators two revenue-generating games in one unit.

Play Till You Win Mode

An on/off dip switch setting enables "Play Till You Win" functionality. When active, players are guaranteed a win on the right side if they do not successfully retrieve a prize on the left, encouraging repeat plays and reducing the likelihood of a player walking away empty-handed.

DBA Ready with Single Coin Mech Standard

The cabinet ships with a single mechanical coin mech and is DBA (Dollar Bill Acceptor) ready. When using a DBA, the machine operates on a single coin mech configuration. Optional bill acceptor and coin mech upgrades are available — see Operator Notes for full details on available configurations.

High-Security Cabinet Construction

The cabinet is built from 18-gauge steel with steel security padlock tabs on both the console and front glass door. Additional security measures include a tamper-resistant, coat hanger-proof cabinet design and an independent locking coin box. The front door uses tempered safety glass.

Lighting and Sound

Multi-colored rope light corners with adjustable speed and pattern control provide visual presence on the floor. An interactive sound system adds audio feedback during play. The credit and timer display uses a 7-segment LED readout.

Custom Graphics Available

The standard cabinet ships in an orange decal design. Custom graphics are available as an option for operators who want branded or venue-specific artwork on the cabinet.

How It Plays

A player inserts a coin or bill and uses the 4-way joystick to position the claw over the prize of their choice on the left side, then drops the medium claw to attempt a grab. If no prize is captured, the right-side scoop claw game activates, giving the player another shot at winning a smaller prize or candy. The two-stage format gives every play a clear resolution.

Available Options and Upgrades

Several factory options are available at time of order. Claw upgrades include a 2-finger claw assembly and small or large claw assemblies. Bill acceptor configurations include a DBA with 300-bill stacker (Pyramid, ICT, or MEI), a US/Canadian unit with 400-bill stacker, and CoinCo dual coin mechs — note that DBA is not available when dual coin mechs are selected. A Looney/Tooney coin mech is available but only in combination with dual coin mechs. A 220-volt AC transformer is also available for international placements. A jewelry crane option and an MP4 crane option are listed as additional configurations. Contact BVC for details on any factory option or upgrade.

DBA Compatibility Note

When a DBA is installed, the machine operates using a single coin mech. Dual coin mech configurations are not compatible with the DBA option — confirm your preferred payment setup before ordering.

Prize Loading and Configuration

The left side is sized for medium plush merchandise; the right side is designed around candy or smaller prize product. The two prize holes measure 4" x 4" and 7.25" x 9" respectively, which should be factored in when selecting prize inventory for each side.

Play Till You Win Dip Switch

The "Play Till You Win" feature is controlled by an on/off dip switch, giving operators the ability to enable or disable the guaranteed-win behavior on the right side without any hardware changes. This setting can be adjusted based on prize cost and location preferences.
