Animated zombie mouths open in the playfield during the final sprint. Four lanes. One 65-inch screen tracking them all.
Overview
Zombies Ready, Deady, Go! is a Sega Amusements four-player, skill-based redemption game built around a midway derby format: players roll balls into scoring holes to advance their zombie character toward the finish line on a shared 65-inch display. The compact modular cabinet ships in two pieces for straightforward venue installation, and operator-configurable race time and ticket payout let each location dial in the experience to match their floor.
Key Features
65-Inch Central Display
A single 65-inch screen spans the top of the cabinet and renders all four zombie characters simultaneously, showing each player's race position in real time as balls land in the scoring holes below. The display is large enough to read from across an arcade floor, so bystanders can follow the race without standing at the machine.
Animated Playfield Super Bonus Targets
During the final sprint phase of each race, physical zombie mouths animate open on the playfield surface, creating additional high-value scoring targets. Landing a ball in an open mouth triggers the Super Bonus. The mechanical animation gives players a timed physical target that changes the scoring stakes at the end of every game cycle.
Live Race Hosts and Six-Channel Audio
The game features two named on-screen commentators — TV presenter Ken Chase and zombie sidekick Brian De'ath — who deliver live-style race commentary throughout each session. Audio runs through a six-channel system, producing directional and immersive sound at each player station. Commentary and jokes are written for a child-friendly audience.
Four Selectable Zombie Characters
Players choose from four distinct zombie characters at the start of each game: Bubbles, Coco, Dizzy, and Smudge. Each character is rendered on the main display throughout the race, giving players a visual identity tied to their lane and score position.
Compact Modular Cabinet
The four-player unit ships as two separate pieces — a monitor and play deck, and a control cabinet — allowing each section to move through standard doorways and be positioned independently during installation. Assembled footprint for the four-player configuration is 82 inches wide by 80 inches deep by 97 inches tall.
Operator-Configurable Race Time and Ticket Payout
Race duration and ticket awards are both adjustable through the operator menu. Tickets are awarded based on finish position and ball scores, and both variables can be tuned independently to match the location's payout structure and play-cycle preferences.
How It Plays
Each player rolls balls into a row of scoring holes on their section of the playfield — every successful hole advances their zombie's position on the shared 65-inch display overhead. During the final sprint, animated zombie mouths open physically in the playfield, offering a high-value Super Bonus target that changes the scoring stakes in the closing seconds of each race. From the side, bystanders see four zombie characters moving at different speeds across one large screen, with the race outcome shifting right up to the final ball roll.

Why Operators Love It
Two-Piece Modular Shipment Simplifies Installation
The cabinet ships in two separate crates — a monitor and play deck plus a control cabinet — each sized to fit through standard venue doorways. On-site assembly connects the two sections rather than maneuvering a single assembled unit through tight corridors.
Dual-Voltage Power Supply
The unit operates on either 110V or 220V at a fixed 700W draw, making it compatible with standard North American venue wiring as well as international installations — no step-down transformer required.
Independent Payout and Race Time Adjustments
Race time and ticket payout are both operator-adjustable from the settings menu, independently of each other. A high-volume FEC and a smaller route placement can each set payout to match their token economics without a service call or hardware change.
Cartoonish Zombie Theming Fits Mixed-Age Floors
Sega designed the commentary, graphics, and humor specifically for a younger audience. The characters — Bubbles, Coco, Dizzy, and Smudge — use comedic, cartoonish visuals rather than horror-style imagery, keeping the cabinet accessible across a wide age range without restricting floor placement on a family-oriented game room.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Zombies Ready, Deady, Go! award tickets?
Tickets are awarded based on two factors: each player's finishing position in the race and the total ball scores accumulated during the game. Both the race duration and the ticket payout amounts are adjustable through the operator menu, allowing venues to calibrate redemption economics per location.
What are the assembled dimensions of the Zombies Ready, Deady, Go! four-player cabinet?
The fully assembled four-player unit measures 82 inches wide by 80 inches deep by 97 inches tall. The cabinet ships in two separate crates to ease delivery and on-site installation.
What power supply does Zombies Ready, Deady, Go! require?
The unit supports both 110V at 6.4 amps and 220V at 3.2 amps, with a consistent draw of 700 watts at either voltage. No external transformer is required for standard North American venue wiring.
What is the Super Bonus mechanic in Zombies Ready, Deady, Go!?
During the final sprint of each race, animated zombie mouths physically open on the playfield surface. Rolling a ball into an open mouth activates the Super Bonus, awarding additional score on top of the standard hole values. The mouths close again when the sprint phase ends, so the window is timed to the closing seconds of each game cycle.
Ideal Placement
Zombies Ready, Deady, Go! fits naturally in family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and pizzeria game rooms where mixed-age groups play together. The 82-inch assembled width occupies a footprint comparable to a standard four-player midway row, and the 97-inch cabinet height clears standard commercial drop ceilings. Hotel game rooms and mini-golf clubhouses serving family audiences are also well-suited to the cabinet's cartoonish theme and all-ages commentary.
