Five cube types. One bolted array. Crane descents, peg drops, and capsule deliveries run simultaneously across the same installation.

Overview

The Sega Mini Cube Prize World is a modular prize merchandiser built around a system of compact cubes that operate individually or combine into walls, islands, towers, and centrepiece layouts — scaling from a Starter Mini 6 configuration up to a 24-cube installation. Each cube runs one of five gameplay formats — Crane, Capsule, Peg, Rotary, or Display — giving operators the ability to mix prize mechanics across a single footprint. The system launched successfully across Asia before expanding to the UK, EU, and USA.

Key Features

Five Interchangeable Cube Formats

Each cube slot in any configuration can be populated with one of five distinct play types: Crane (classic claw grab, prizes up to approximately 10 cm plush or light box, capacity 20–30 plus back-wall decoration), Capsule (vending capsule format, 5 cm or 10 cm capsules or balls, capacity 300+ or 150+ respectively), Peg (Win Fall-style game, prizes up to 15 cm, 32 prize pegs plus decoration space), Rotary (small prize dispensing, 3 cm balls or solid prizes, capacity 100–200 in rotary drum plus decoration), and Display (non-play cube that showcases prizes and builds visual anticipation). Operators configure the ratio of play types to match their audience and prize inventory.

Modular Scalability — Starter Combos to 24-Cube Centrepiece

Available starter configurations include the Mini 6 (2 wide × 3 tall), 8 Player Island (2 wide × 2 deep × 2 tall), Wall 9 (3 wide × 3 tall), and Premium Wall 12 (4 wide × 3 tall). Beyond those, cubes bolt into named configurations up to the Wall of 24 and the 24 Pillar Centrepiece (80 in D × 80 in W × 85 in H, 2,729 lbs). Layouts include straight walls, L-shapes, islands, and four-sided pyramids — operators choose the geometry that matches their floorplan without ordering a custom cabinet.

Synchronized LED Presence Across the Full Array

Every cube carries LED rounds, prize doors, base mats, and screen branding that pulse in coordination across the full installation. At larger configurations — Wall of 12 and above — the synchronized light animation spans up to 94 inches of continuous width, producing a visible draw from the far end of a venue floor.

Clean Internal Layout for Fast Service Access

Each cube is built with simple internal access points and an uncluttered layout so technicians can reach prize hoppers, coin mechanisms, and LED modules without disassembling adjacent cubes. Prize restocking and routine maintenance on any single cube does not require taking adjacent cubes offline.

How It Plays

Play mechanics vary by cube type: on a Crane cube the player steers the claw over the prize bin and drops; on a Peg cube the player releases a ball or disc and watches it deflect down through 32 pegs toward prize slots below; on a Capsule cube the player triggers a vend cycle that delivers a capsule through the prize door; on a Rotary cube the drum dispenses a small prize directly. From the venue floor, an active multi-cube installation presents simultaneous action across several play types at once — claw descents, peg drops, and capsule deliveries happening in adjacent cubes while the LED array continues its synchronized animation across the full width of the installation.

Why Operators Love It

Scale Up Without a Full Reinstall

The cube-by-cube build system means operators can start with a Mini 6 and expand to a Wall of 12 or an 8 Player Island by adding cubes. Each cube is a self-contained unit, so growing the array does not require pulling existing cubes out of service during the expansion.

Four Active Prize Mechanics, One Service Schedule

Crane, Capsule, Peg, and Rotary cubes share the same base cabinet architecture, so staff trained on one cube type can service the others. A single installation delivers four distinct prize game formats with one operational footprint rather than four separate machine types requiring separate parts inventory.

110V and 220V Compatibility

All configurations are rated for both 110V and 220V operation. Operators deploying across multiple venue types — US arcade, international FEC, or mixed-voltage route — can spec the same system without voltage conversion hardware.

High Container Density for Multi-Location Buildouts

Individual cubes ship at 32 inches of height in packaging. A standard 40-foot container holds 162 cubes, which means operators building out multiple locations can consolidate freight into a single shipment rather than staging multiple smaller deliveries.

Frequently Asked Questions

What starter configurations are available for the Sega Mini Cube Prize World?

Four starter combos are offered: the Mini 6 (2 wide × 3 tall), the Island 8 (2 wide × 2 deep × 2 tall), the Wall 9 (3 wide × 3 tall), and the Premium Wall 12 (4 wide × 3 tall). Beyond those, the system scales through named configurations up to the Wall of 24 and the 24 Pillar Centrepiece. Operators can also run individual standalone cubes before committing to a larger array.

How many game types can the Sega Mini Cube Prize World run in one installation?

Up to five cube types can coexist in a single installation: Crane, Capsule, Peg, Rotary, and Display. Each cube slot is populated with one format, and operators choose the mix based on their prize inventory and venue audience. Display cubes contain no play mechanism and are used to exhibit prizes inside the array.
