A 42-inch screen mounts vertically above the guest. Wind builds to 100 MPH inside the enclosure.
Overview
The Storm Chaser Hurricane Simulator is a wind-experience attraction that encloses a single guest inside an all-steel cabinet and delivers airflow up to 100 MPH — the equivalent of a Category 1 hurricane. A vertically mounted 42-inch LCD screen displays storm animations alongside a real-time wind-speed readout, giving both the guest and bystanders a live visual reference for what's happening inside the enclosure. The cabinet ships assembled in a footprint of 3 feet 4 inches wide by 5 feet 4 inches deep, sized to fit standard venue floor slots without structural modification.
Key Features
Up to 100 MPH Wind Output
The internal fan system generates airflow from a gentle breeze up to 100 MPH — the low end of Category 1 hurricane force. Wind speed is adjustable, allowing operators to tune the experience for different audiences or venue settings. The shaped plexiglass door contains the airflow inside the enclosure, directing it over the guest rather than into the surrounding floor space.
Vertically Mounted 42-Inch LCD with Live Wind-Speed Readout
The 42-inch screen mounts vertically above the guest position and runs storm animation sequences synced to the active wind level. A real-time wind-speed number updates continuously on-screen, so bystanders standing outside the cabinet can read the current speed at a glance — no interaction with the machine required to know what's happening inside.
All-Steel Cabinet with Shaped Plexiglass Door
The cabinet frame is all-steel construction. The entry door is shaped plexiglass, which contains the wind column while keeping the guest visible to people outside the machine — the guest's hair and clothing movement is observable through the door during play, which is the primary visual draw from the surrounding floor.
Compact Cabinet Footprint
Assembled dimensions are 3 feet 4 inches wide by 5 feet 4 inches deep by 7 feet 2 inches tall. That width fits standard arcade wall slots and leaves adjacent machines unobstructed. The 7-foot-2-inch height clears standard 8-foot ceilings with room to spare.
How It Plays
The guest steps inside the enclosure and the plexiglass door closes around them. Wind ramps up progressively, with the 42-inch screen showing synchronized storm animations and a climbing MPH counter that both the guest and anyone watching from outside can follow. From the arcade floor, bystanders see the guest's hair and clothing buffeted inside the transparent door while the on-screen speed readout counts upward — the visible contrast between the calm room and the contained wind column is the primary draw that pulls the next guest toward the machine.

Why Operators Love It
External Visibility Drives Walk-Ups
The shaped plexiglass door keeps the guest fully visible to the surrounding floor during operation. Hair movement, clothing buffeting, and the climbing MPH counter on the 42-inch screen are all readable from outside the cabinet — the machine produces its own advertising during every play cycle.
40-Inch Wide Footprint Fits Standard Floor Slots
At 40 inches wide, the Storm Chaser occupies the same lateral footprint as many standard upright cabinets, allowing it to slot into an existing arcade layout without displacing adjacent equipment or requiring floor reconfiguration.
All-Steel Frame for Commercial Durability
The all-steel cabinet construction is rated for high-traffic commercial use — the same material standard applied across amusement equipment intended for continuous daily operation. The plexiglass door is shaped to fit the frame, limiting the number of replacement parts an operator would need to stock.
Cool-Air Output Suits Warm-Climate Venues
The fan system moves high-volume cool air through the enclosure during operation. In warm-climate venues or spaces with variable air conditioning — outdoor malls, grocery store vestibules, beachside arcades — the cooling effect is a secondary draw during peak heat hours.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the assembled footprint of the Storm Chaser Hurricane Simulator?
The assembled cabinet measures 40 inches wide by 64 inches deep by 86 inches tall. Shipping dimensions are 48 inches wide by 80 inches deep by 93 inches tall. Verify ceiling clearance before placing — the cabinet stands just over 7 feet assembled.
How fast does the wind inside the Storm Chaser get?
The Storm Chaser Hurricane Simulator generates airflow up to 100 MPH, the lower threshold of a Category 1 hurricane. Wind speed is adjustable, allowing operators to set the maximum level for their venue and audience.
What does the 42-inch screen display during operation?
The vertically mounted 42-inch LCD runs storm animation content synchronized to the active wind level and displays a real-time MPH readout that updates continuously during the session. The screen faces outward and is readable by bystanders standing outside the cabinet.
What venue types is the Storm Chaser Hurricane Simulator suited for?
The manufacturer lists arcades, bars, malls, and grocery stores as target placements. The compact footprint and self-contained operation also make it practical for trampoline parks, hotel game rooms, and FEC midways where floor space is at a premium.
Ideal Placement
The Storm Chaser fits naturally in family entertainment centers, mall arcades, and trampoline parks where open floor layouts give bystanders sightlines to the plexiglass door during play. Bar and tavern game rooms, hotel lobbies, and grocery store vestibules are also listed placements — the 40-inch width slots into standard positions without displacing existing equipment. Warm-climate venues and indoor spaces with variable cooling benefit from the unit's high-volume airflow during peak traffic hours.
