Ferris wheel baskets spin a continuous loop. A spring-loaded latch releases each prize from the bottom.
Overview
Ferris Wheel Frenzy is a single-player skill merchandiser from Pipeline Games in which prizes are loaded into Ferris wheel-style rotating baskets and released through a patent-pending, spring-loaded bottom-release latch — not a basket tip. The player times a control arm to trigger the latch at the correct moment, dropping the prize from the basket's floor rather than tipping the whole basket, a design that removes the shaking and tipping exploits common on conventional Ferris wheel merchandisers.
Key Features
Patent-Pending Bottom-Release Latch Mechanism
Rather than tipping an entire basket to drop a prize, the spring-loaded latch opens the basket's bottom floor when the player times the control arm correctly. Because the basket itself never tilts, the machine cannot be forced into a payout by shaking or physically pushing on the cabinet — the structural exploit that affects tip-style Ferris wheel machines is absent from this design.
Continuously Rotating Prize Baskets
Prizes are loaded into individual Ferris wheel-style baskets that rotate in a continuous loop throughout play. The rotation keeps the prize field in constant visible motion for the duration of each game session, creating an observable display from any angle of approach.
Skill-Based Control Arm Timing
The player's single input is timing a control arm to align with the target basket at the moment the latch can be triggered. The window is narrow enough to constitute a genuine timing challenge while remaining achievable — a mechanic that distinguishes this machine from pure-chance prize dispensers.
Dynamic Lighting and Audio Package
The cabinet ships with integrated dynamic lighting and a contemporary audio system. Both run during active play and attract mode, producing a lit, animated presentation that distinguishes the unit visually in a mixed game room environment.
Header Extension for Elevated Floor Presence
The cabinet stands 70 inches assembled and extends to 82 inches with the header installed. The header adds vertical visibility above adjacent equipment without changing the 32-inch width or 34-inch depth footprint.
How It Plays
The player operates a single control arm, timing its movement to align with a prize basket as the Ferris wheel rotates and triggering the spring-loaded latch at the precise moment the target basket reaches the release position. A successful press opens the basket floor and drops the prize — the basket itself stays upright and continues rotating. From a distance, bystanders see the wheel turning, the lit baskets cycling, and the occasional prize drop from the bottom of a basket rather than a basket tipping over — a visually distinct event that reads differently from any other merchandiser format on the floor.

Why Operators Love It
Exploit-Resistant Prize Delivery
The bottom-release latch design means the basket never tilts during a payout. Physical manipulation tactics — shaking, rocking, leaning — that force payouts on tip-style Ferris wheel machines have no mechanical path to succeed here, since the latch is triggered by the control arm input, not by basket angle or momentum.
Compact Footprint for Standard Floor Slots
At 32 inches wide and 34 inches deep, the cabinet fits standard arcade floor allocations without requiring a dedicated oversized zone. The header is a separate component — operators can deploy the base cabinet in lower-ceiling locations and add the header where clearance allows.
US-Based Parts and Same-Day Shipping
Pipeline Games stocks replacement parts domestically and ships most orders the same day they are placed. Downtime from a parts wait is reduced when the component is already in-country rather than sourced internationally.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Ferris Wheel Frenzy release prizes differently from other Ferris wheel machines?
Most Ferris wheel merchandisers drop prizes by tipping the entire basket, which creates a structural vulnerability to shaking and "tip-to-win" manipulation. The Ferris Wheel Frenzy uses a patent-pending spring-loaded latch on the basket floor that opens only when the player's control arm input triggers it at the correct moment — the basket stays level throughout.
What is the assembled footprint of the Ferris Wheel Frenzy?
The cabinet measures 32 inches wide by 34 inches deep. Height is 70 inches without the header and 82 inches with the header installed. Width and depth are unchanged whether the header is attached or not.
How many players can use the Ferris Wheel Frenzy at once?
Ferris Wheel Frenzy is a single-player unit. One player operates the control arm per game session.
What warranty comes with the Ferris Wheel Frenzy?
Pipeline Games includes a one-year warranty on the machine. Replacement parts are stocked in the US and most orders ship the same day.
Ideal Placement
The Ferris Wheel Frenzy suits family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and pizzeria game rooms where a prize merchandiser with a rotating visual centerpiece fits the floor plan. At 32 inches wide, it occupies a single standard machine slot. The header-optional configuration also makes it workable in hotel game rooms and restaurant waiting areas where ceiling height is limited.
