A 65-inch HD screen. Two mounted cannon controllers. A motion seat and wind effects fire on every shot.
Overview
The Future is an original sci-fi light-gun shooter from Superwin and Bandai Namco Amusements, exclusive to arcades. Players fight through seven user-selectable levels against organic and cybernetic enemies across a futuristic cityscape, ending in a boss battle. The cabinet pairs a 65-inch HD display with a motion seat, wind effects, and a front-feedback firing mechanism built directly into the mounted cannon controllers — a physical combination not found on standard light-gun cabinets.
Key Features
Front Feedback Cannon Controllers
Each of the two player stations is equipped with a mounted cannon controller that incorporates a "front feedback" mechanism — a physical push-back force built into the gun itself that activates with every shot fired. The feedback is generated at the front of the controller, producing a tactile recoil sensation that corresponds directly to in-game firing.
Air-Compressor Motion Seat with Wind Effects
The cabinet features an air-compressor powered motion base that shifts the seat during gameplay, combined with wind effects directed at the players. Both systems respond to on-screen events, creating a multi-sensory environmental experience visible and audible from outside the cabinet.
65-Inch HD Display
The game renders on a 65-inch HD screen housed in a full-surround deluxe cabinet. At that size, the action reads clearly from a distance across the arcade floor, and the blue, yellow, purple, and black cabinet color scheme with RGB LED light trim adds to the cabinet's visual presence in any room layout.
Original Arcade-Exclusive IP
The Future is an original sci-fi property developed specifically for the arcade market — it is not a console port or a license adaptation. Seven user-selectable levels with varied enemy types and a final boss battle give players a structured progression not replicable on home hardware.
2.1ch Audio System
A 2.1-channel audio setup — two satellite speakers plus a dedicated subwoofer channel — delivers directional sound and low-frequency impact from the cabinet. Combined with the motion seat and wind output, the audio contributes to the environmental effect that surrounds both seated players.
Coin and Card Swipe Ready
The cabinet ships configured to accept both coin and card swipe payment, covering traditional coin-op routes as well as venues running cashless or debit-card systems without requiring a separate reader retrofit.
How It Plays
Players select a level from the user-selectable stage menu, then aim and fire the mounted cannon controller at waves of organic and cybernetic enemies across seven stages, with the seat shifting and wind activating in response to on-screen hits and explosions. The front feedback mechanism pushes back against the player's hands with each trigger pull, producing a visible physical reaction from each shooter. From outside the cabinet, bystanders see two players physically reacting to seat motion and wind while a 65-inch screen displays the battle overhead — the full-body physical response of seated players is observable from across the room.

Why Operators Love It
Single 120V Outlet Powers the Full Environmental Package
Despite driving a motion seat, wind effects, front-feedback controllers, and a 65-inch display, the cabinet runs on a standard 120V supply at 1,100W. No three-phase power, no dedicated circuit beyond a standard 20-amp run — the full feature set installs wherever a standard outlet is available.
Footprint Suited to High-Ceiling Venues
At 101 inches tall (8 ft 5 in), the cabinet requires adequate ceiling clearance — operators should confirm ceiling height before placement. The 62-inch width and 102.5-inch depth define the floor zone needed; the assembled dimensions make doorway and ramp access the primary install consideration at 1,543 lbs.
Dual Payment Format Ships Standard
The cabinet arrives coin and card swipe ready out of the box — no additional payment hardware purchase or retrofit is required to operate in venues running either coin-based or cashless systems. Operators can deploy immediately in either payment environment.
PC-Based Platform Supports Standard Service Approach
The game runs on a PC-based hardware platform, meaning field technicians familiar with PC-architecture arcade hardware can service, diagnose, and update the unit using standard tools and procedures without proprietary hardware training.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many players can use The Future at the same time?
The Future is configured for two players simultaneously, each at their own mounted cannon controller station within the shared environmental cabinet. Both players share the motion seat base, wind effects, and 65-inch display during co-op play.
What is the "front feedback" feature on The Future?
Front feedback is a physical recoil mechanism built into the mounted cannon controllers. Each time a player fires, the front of the controller pushes back against the player's hands, simulating weapon recoil. This is distinct from rumble or vibration motors — the push originates at the front of the gun housing.
What are the installed dimensions of The Future?
The assembled cabinet measures 101 inches tall, 62 inches wide, and 102.5 inches deep, and weighs 1,543 lbs. Operators should verify ceiling height (minimum 8 ft 6 in recommended) and confirm doorway and floor load capacity before delivery.
Is The Future available for home use?
The Future is an arcade-exclusive title produced specifically for commercial amusement venues — it is not available as a home console or PC release. The cabinet's size and weight are consistent with commercial arcade installation requirements.
Ideal Placement
The Future is sized and spec'd for high-traffic commercial venues with adequate ceiling clearance and floor load capacity: family entertainment centers, trampoline parks, large bowling center arcades, and movie theater lobbies where the 62-inch-wide, 102.5-inch-deep footprint can anchor a dedicated shooter zone. The cabinet's physical scale and 65-inch screen also suit mall arcades and attraction-based venues where the environmental display can be positioned as a visible centerpiece of the game floor layout.
