A 55-inch horizontal screen. Four Pac-Men. Ninety seconds per round.
Overview
The Bandai Namco PAC-MAN Battle Royale Deluxe Chompionship is a four-player competitive arcade cabinet built around head-to-head PAC-MAN gameplay on a 55-inch HD arena display. Up to four players simultaneously navigate a shared maze, eating pellets to grow, grabbing fruit power-ups for shields and speed boosts, and chomping rival PAC-Men for elimination — a format that departs entirely from classic single-player PAC-MAN. The Chompionship edition is the current production configuration of the Battle Royale Deluxe platform, designed for high-traffic commercial venues and featuring tournament-style cabinet branding, a selfie camera for on-screen avatars, and RGB underglow lighting.
Key Features
55-Inch Horizontal HD Display with Split-Screen Kill Cams
The cabinet runs a 55-inch horizontal HD screen — larger than the vertical monitors on standard four-player arcade cabinets. The widescreen orientation accommodates the full four-player split-screen layout, and kill-cam moments render at full size, visible to bystanders standing away from the machine.
Fruit Power-Up System: Shield, Speed Boost, and Stealth
The Deluxe Chompionship edition introduces three fruit-based power-ups not present in the original Battle Royale release: a shield that absorbs a chomp, a speed boost for closing on opponents or escaping, and a stealth mode. Each power-up produces a visible character state change on screen, so the active threat in the maze reads clearly to both players and bystanders.
Selfie Camera and On-Screen Avatars
An integrated selfie camera captures each player's face at the start of the session and maps it to their PAC-MAN character on screen. The avatars appear during gameplay and on kill-cam moments, displaying each player's own face inside the character — an element that is visible to any bystander watching the screen from outside the cabinet.
RGB Underglow, Marquee Lighting, and Classic Audio
The cabinet runs dynamic RGB underglow across the base and lit marquee panels with Chompionship-edition artwork. Classic waka-waka sound effects and the PAC-MAN music track play during sessions. Both the lighting and audio are present whether or not a game is in progress, giving the cabinet a continuous floor presence.
Dual-Cabinet Link for Up to Eight Players
Two Chompionship cabinets can be linked to support up to eight players in a single match. The link option scales the competitive format for larger group events or dedicated tournament setups without requiring a separate tournament infrastructure.
Steel Chassis with Spill-Resistant Control Panel and Quick-Swap Joysticks
The cabinet uses a rugged steel chassis with a spill-resistant control panel surface. Joystick assemblies are designed for quick-swap replacement — the control interface can be serviced without full disassembly, reducing downtime in high-traffic deployments.
How It Plays
Each player steers their PAC-MAN through the shared maze with a joystick, collecting pellets to grow larger and grabbing fruit icons to activate shields, speed boosts, or stealth. The last PAC-MAN standing when the 90-second timer expires — or the sole survivor of eliminations — wins the round. From outside the cabinet, bystanders see four character-avatared PAC-Men moving simultaneously across the 55-inch screen, with power-up state changes producing visible color shifts and kill-cam cutaways that signal each elimination as it happens.

Why Operators Love It
90-Second Rounds Keep the Cabinet Cycling
Each match is capped at 90 seconds — operator-adjustable via the menu. Short, outcome-driven sessions reduce idle time between groups and allow the cabinet to cycle through plays at a pace that suits high-traffic floor positions.
Operator Menu with Audit Reports and Configurable Pricing
The onboard operator menu provides direct access to round-length settings, per-play pricing configuration, and audit reports — all without removing any cabinet panels. This allows per-location adjustments without a service call.
Quick-Swap Joystick Assemblies Reduce Service Time
The four joystick assemblies are designed for tool-accessible quick-swap replacement. On a four-station cabinet with heavy use, the ability to replace a single control station without full disassembly cuts the service window on the most commonly worn component.
Low Amp Draw on Standard 110 V Circuit
At approximately 3 amps on a standard 110 V outlet, the cabinet draws less power than most large-format video arcade units. A dedicated circuit is not required, which simplifies placement in venues without dedicated high-draw drops.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does PAC-MAN Battle Royale Deluxe Chompionship differ from classic PAC-MAN?
Classic PAC-MAN is a single-player game focused on clearing mazes and avoiding ghosts. The Battle Royale Deluxe Chompionship places up to four players on the same maze simultaneously, with players targeting each other in addition to ghosts. The Deluxe Chompionship edition also introduces three fruit power-ups — shield, speed boost, and stealth — that are not present in the original Battle Royale release.
How many players can play the PAC-MAN Battle Royale Deluxe Chompionship at once?
A single cabinet supports up to four players competing simultaneously — two, three, or four active players per session are all supported. Two cabinets can be linked to run an eight-player match from a single game instance.
What are the assembled dimensions and power requirements?
The cabinet assembles to 57 in W x 84 in D x 110 in H and weighs 770 lbs. It runs on a standard 110 V outlet at approximately 3 amps — no dedicated high-draw circuit required.
What is the Chompionship edition compared to earlier Battle Royale configurations?
The Chompionship edition is the current production version of the Battle Royale Deluxe platform from Bandai Namco, featuring dedicated Chompionship cabinet artwork, marquee branding, the selfie-camera avatar system, and the updated fruit power-up set. It is visually distinct from earlier Battle Royale cabinets on the floor.
Ideal Placement
The PAC-MAN Battle Royale Deluxe Chompionship suits venues that host groups: family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and movie theater lobbies where multiple players arrive together and look for a shared activity. The 90-second round structure fits the pace of bar and tavern game rooms, where short decisive matches suit the environment. College student unions and mall arcades benefit from the cabinet's cross-demographic appeal across age groups.
