Crab Rush is a one-to-two-player electro-mechanical ticket redemption game from Bandai Namco Amusements America. The playfield contains five oversized crab figures, each mounted on a track that runs the full depth of the cabinet. IR sensors are located on the crab claws facing the active player — a successful hit reverses the crab's direction of travel, pushing it back toward the opponent. When struck, the crabs physically jump and emit sound effects, producing a mechanical reaction visible through the acrylic barriers on every hit.

Crying Flag Penalty Mechanism

If a crab reaches a player's side of the playfield, a crying flag physically pops up on that player's station and their score is reduced. The flag is a mechanical event — visible to anyone watching — that marks a scoring penalty without requiring the players to look at the LED display.

Dual Mounted Laser Shooters at Kid Height

Each player station is equipped with a dual-handle mounted laser gun fixed to the cabinet at kid height.
