Pre-built Coinado towers rise from the playfield. They spin through a central Vortex. They topple — all at once, all visible from the main aisle.
Overview
Tornado is a two-player redemption coin pusher from LAI Games built around a storm-chasing theme. Players launch coins and balls onto a playfield stacked with pre-built "Coinado" towers that accumulate, engage a central spinning Vortex mechanism, and collapse for large ticket payouts across three distinct bonus modes: Tornado Super Bonus, Party Time, and Storm Bonus. Single-button operation at each station keeps the experience accessible, while the layered bonus structure and dual coin-and-ball playfield add depth for repeat players.
Key Features
Pre-Built Coinado Towers
Coins are pre-stacked into standing towers directly on the playfield before each play session begins — stacks are larger than those used in predecessor titles. Players push against a fully loaded playfield from the first coin drop. As additional coins accumulate, towers destabilize and topple in a cascading fall that spans the cabinet surface.
Spinning Vortex Central Tower
A dedicated Vortex tower at the center of the playfield features an active spinning mechanism. Landing coins or balls in the correct target sections unlocks the Vortex stage, which opens the path to the Tornado Super Bonus — a multi-process event that delivers the cabinet's largest ticket award outcomes.
Dual Coin and Ball Playfield
Tornado uses both coins and balls as active playfield objects simultaneously. Balls open additional target zones and scoring paths beyond standard coin play, giving players more in-play variables to aim for and more simultaneous motion on the playfield surface at any given moment.
LED Ticket Value Counters
Large and small red numerical LED counters display current ticket values in real time during play. Both counter sizes are mounted on the cabinet and readable from a distance, so bystanders can follow the current payout value without approaching the machine.
Storm-Themed Cabinet Artwork
The cabinet features a large stylized tornado marquee and artwork applied to the glass panel designed to appear as though the glass has been shattered — a visual detail that reads as structural damage from a distance and reinforces the storm-chasing theme before a player approaches.
How It Plays
Each player controls a single button — pressing it releases a coin drop, and timing that release to hit high-value target sections is the core skill. Targets include ticket zones, extra coin awards, and ball releases; landing in the right position during the Vortex sequence unlocks the Tornado Super Bonus, which can trigger multiple simultaneous payout processes. From across the room, the most visible moment is tower collapse: a Coinado stack reaches its tipping point and falls across the playfield in a single cascading event, with the LED ticket counters updating in real time as the payout registers.

Why Operators Love It
Cashless-Ready Out of the Box
The universal connector means Tornado integrates with existing card-system or DBA infrastructure at the venue. Operators running mixed-payment locations can configure each unit independently to match what's already on the floor.
Two Independent Play Sessions in One Footprint
Both player positions run simultaneously from a single 62-inch-wide cabinet on one 400W connection and one floor allocation — two complete coin-pusher sessions sharing a single power drop and service point.
Single-Button Operation Minimizes Player Confusion
Each station uses one button. The control scheme is simple enough that staff intervention for player instruction is minimal, even in venues with young or first-time players.
Original Theme With No License Dependency
Tornado carries no third-party license — the storm-chasing theme is original to LAI Games. That removes any exposure to licensing expirations or content restrictions that affect placement longevity of licensed titles.
Ideal Placement
Tornado suits family entertainment centers, indoor amusement parks, trampoline parks, and bowling alley arcades where redemption coin pushers anchor the ticket-game floor. The two-player configuration and tower-collapse spectacle make it effective in high-visibility floor positions where the Coinado collapse and LED counters are readable from the main aisle.
