Projection mapping on physical targets. A patented light burst fires from the gun on every hit. Both effects read from across the room.

Overview

Cyberpunk 2077: Turf Wars is a licensed light-gun shooter from LAI Games, developed in partnership with CD PROJEKT RED — the studio behind Cyberpunk 2077, which has sold over 30 million copies and won over 200 awards worldwide. The cabinet projects Night City environments directly onto physical target assemblies and pairs that visual with a patent-pending Blast Shooting Effect, haptic feedback guns, and three game modes supporting solo and two-player play — all manageable remotely via a built-in game management system.

Key Features

Projection Mapping on Physical Targets

Game visuals are mapped directly onto the physical target assembly rather than displayed on a flat monitor behind it. Enemies, environments, and mission overlays wrap around the three-dimensional target surface, creating a playfield depth that a standard flat-screen shooter cannot replicate.

Patented Blast Shooting Effect

Each confirmed hit triggers a light burst from the gun itself — a patent-pending effect that originates at the player's hands rather than on the target surface. The burst is visible to everyone in the immediate area, not just the shooter.

Haptic Feedback Gun Controllers

The gun controllers deliver physical haptic feedback on every shot, reinforcing the impact moment with a tactile response that pairs with the Blast Shooting Effect and the game's audio track.

Three Game Modes

Story Mode places a solo player through escalating missions against Night City factions. Co-Op/Versus Mode seats two players who can either team up on shared objectives or compete head-to-head. Sniper Mode is a precision challenge that limits ammo and penalizes civilian hits, testing accuracy over speed.

E-Sports-Style Attract Mode

The attract loop plays back high-action gameplay footage in a broadcast presentation style, with the projection mapping active and visible during idle state — keeping the cabinet visually live even between paid plays.

Wheeled Target Assembly

The target assembly rolls out from the cabinet on wheels, giving a technician direct access to internal components without cabinet disassembly. Component replacement is performed from the front of the unit.

How It Plays

The player raises the gun controller and fires at projected enemies moving across the physical target assembly — each hit detonates an on-surface explosion mapped to the target while simultaneously firing the Blast Shooting Effect from the gun barrel. In Sniper Mode, the player identifies and eliminates moving threats while tracking civilian figures in the same projected field, using a limited ammo count. From across the arcade, bystanders see a lit, active target structure with projection-mapped imagery updating in real time and gun-mounted light bursts flaring on every shot.

Why Operators Love It

Remote Monitoring and Content Updates

The built-in remote game management system allows operators to monitor cabinet status, troubleshoot issues, and push content updates from offsite — reducing in-person service calls required to keep the unit current.

No Consumable Restocking

The Blast Shooting Effect is produced entirely through the gun's internal electronics — no pellets, cartridges, or physical projectiles of any kind. Operators carry no ongoing consumable cost and face no restocking schedule for this game.

Card System Ready Out of the Box

The cabinet ships with card system compatibility built in, supporting debit-card-style arcade payment infrastructure without additional hardware modifications at the venue level.

Front-Access Service via Wheeled Target Assembly

The target assembly rolls forward on wheels, exposing projection and sensor components from the front of the cabinet. A technician can reach internal parts without moving the cabinet away from the wall or accessing a rear panel.

Ideal Placement

Best suited for family entertainment centers, large arcades, and amusement venues with open floor space to accommodate the cabinet's 155.6-inch depth footprint. The active projection mapping and gun-mounted light effects make it effective as a standalone attraction in an open-plan arcade layout where the visual output is unobstructed from multiple approach angles.
