Solid American Hardwood Base

The Premium's base is built from solid maple by artisan woodcrafters in the USA, available in six finishes: Espresso, White Wash, Golden Maple, Clear Maple, Cherry Wine, and Ebony. The assembled cabinet measures 54 in L x 37 in W x 54 in H (84 in H with rods extended during play). The base splits into three pieces if needed to move the game through a doorway — any opening 28.5 inches or wider accommodates it.

Lexan Polycarbonate Dome

The signature dome is formed from Lexan polycarbonate — the same material used in ICE's Arena Rink Mat accessory. It encloses the entire playfield, keeping the puck in play and the action fully visible from above and all sides.

Hand-Painted Players and Licensed Graphics

Each player figure is hand-painted. Custom silk-screened graphics cover the side panels and center ice logo, reflecting the chosen edition. NHL-licensed versions include official team colors and logos for up to 36 team options. USA Hockey and Hockey Canada editions are also available, as are NCAA collegiate matchups.

Immersive Audio and Announcing

The game plays U.S. and Canadian national anthems at the start of the appropriate matchup, then runs live-action game commentary, crowd sounds, and animated replay sequences during play. Audio and video calls fire in real time during the game.

Custom Engraving Option

The front of the hardwood base can be custom-engraved at the time of order, allowing a name, logo, or message to be permanently incorporated into the cabinet.

Coin-Operation Capability

Super Chexx Premium uses the same electronics platform as the commercial Super Chexx Pro, which is the only dome hockey product line built with onboard coin-operation capability. A coin mechanism is an available option at order.

Each player controls a row of hand-painted hockey figures through side-mounted rods, rotating and sliding them to redirect the puck across the enclosed rink surface. The Lexan dome overhead keeps every shot, rebound, and scramble contained within the playfield — the full action is visible from any angle around the cabinet. Live announcing fires on goals and key moments, making the audio as present as the play itself.
