Multi-colored LED snowmen glow across the cabinet. Soft blue balls sit ready in the tray. All targets visible from the lane entrance.
Overview
The ICE Snowball Toss is a winter wonderland-themed ball toss redemption game in which players throw soft blue "snowballs" at a field of standing snowmen targets to score points and earn tickets. Built as a scaled-down version of the classic Down the Clown format, it uses a shorter throwing distance and a kid-friendly aesthetic that makes it accessible to younger and tween-age players. An overhauled LED package — multi-colored illuminated snowmen plus LED ceiling lights — gives the cabinet strong visual presence on the floor.
Key Features
Snowmen Target Field with Soft Ball Play
Players throw soft blue foam balls at a row of upright snowmen targets. Each knocked-down snowman adds to the point total, and the ticket payout scales with how many snowmen fall — giving players a clear, immediate read on their performance with every throw.
Scaled "Mini" Throwing Distance
The Snowball Toss uses a shorter throwing lane than a full-size Down the Clown cabinet. The reduced distance lowers the physical barrier for younger and tween-age players, putting the targets within practical range for smaller arm spans and less-developed throwing mechanics.
Full LED Package — Snowmen and Ceiling Lights
The snowmen targets are individually illuminated with multi-colored LEDs that match the winter theme. Overhead LED ceiling lights extend the light display upward across the play area. Both elements are part of ICE's overhauled LED package on this generation of the cabinet.
Ticket Dispenser and Coin Mechanism Included
The unit ships with a coin mechanism and ticket dispenser as standard equipment. Available options include a Mega Marquee (configured for two games) and a play-to-win free game feature, which can be added at the time of order.
How It Plays
The player picks up soft blue foam balls from the tray and throws them down the lane at a standing row of illuminated snowmen — knocking down more snowmen in a single turn produces a higher score and a larger ticket payout. From the side of the cabinet, bystanders can watch the entire target field: snowmen drop one by one as balls connect, and the multi-colored LED snowmen light the play area throughout the game.

Why Operators Love It
Single-Circuit Power Draw
At 3.5 amps on 110V, the Snowball Toss runs on a standard outlet — no dedicated circuit or electrician call before install. The 220V configuration draws only 2.5 amps for international or commercial building requirements.
Mega Marquee Pairs Two Units Under One Sign
The optional Mega Marquee is spec'd for a two-game configuration, meaning two Snowball Toss cabinets can share a single overhead marquee. This reduces the visual clutter of two separate marquee setups and creates a paired station on the floor — a common layout for tween-targeted redemption areas.
Play-to-Win Free Game Option
The play-to-win free game feature is a factory-available option, configurable at order. Operators can set a target score that rewards players with a free credit — a payout structure adjustable by location type without hardware modification.
Manufacturer Documentation and Parts
ICE provides a service manual with the Snowball Toss, and replacement parts are available directly through ICE. Manufacturer-sourced documentation reduces diagnostic time for route and in-house technicians maintaining the unit.
Frequently Asked Questions
What age group is the ICE Snowball Toss designed for?
ICE positions the Snowball Toss as a "mini" Down the Clown built for the tween age group. The shorter throwing distance is specifically designed to make the target range accessible to younger players with smaller arm spans.
What is the assembled footprint of the ICE Snowball Toss?
The assembled cabinet measures 87 inches wide by 45 inches deep by 81 inches tall. Shipping dimensions are 89 in W x 49 in D x 78 in H at 745 lbs.
Does the ICE Snowball Toss dispense tickets?
Yes. A ticket dispenser is included as standard equipment. Ticket output is tied to the number of snowmen knocked down during play — more snowmen knocked down equals a higher score and more tickets dispensed.
How is the ICE Snowball Toss powered?
The unit runs on 110V at 3.5 amps or 220V at 2.5 amps. Both configurations are supported from the factory, making the cabinet compatible with standard North American outlets as well as international venue requirements.
Ideal Placement
The Snowball Toss is built for family entertainment centers, trampoline parks, bowling center arcades, and pizzerias where tween and younger-child traffic is consistent. Its 87-inch width supports a side-by-side two-cabinet layout under the optional Mega Marquee, which fits naturally along a feature wall in a dedicated redemption section. The winter theme also makes it a strong seasonal anchor for holiday-period arcade promotions.
