Three dispenser windows. One dot-matrix display. A 7-inch NBA ball drops when the high score falls.
Overview
The ICE NBA Hoops Baller is a full-size basketball arcade game built around a merchandise-dispensing twist: shoot a 7-inch officially licensed NBA ball out of the cabinet when a player beats the posted high score. All 30 NBA teams are represented under a full league license, and the high score threshold adjusts dynamically as players compete, keeping the challenge calibrated to real traffic.
Key Features
7-Inch Licensed NBA Ball Dispenser
When a player's score clears the posted high score, the cabinet dispenses a 7-inch officially licensed NBA ball — a physical prize merchandise payout, not a ticket redemption. The machine can also be configured to dispense tickets on plays that do not beat the high score, giving operators a dual-mode payout structure from a single unit.
Operator-Adjustable High Score Programming
Operators set the initial high score threshold through the cabinet's programming menu. From that baseline, the score progresses automatically based on player performance. Operators retain full control over when the high score resets, allowing them to tune payout frequency to their specific venue and ball inventory levels.
High-Resolution Dot Matrix Display
The game features a new high-resolution dot matrix display that delivers twice the pixel clarity of earlier-generation models. Score readouts and game state information render sharply on this display, readable from a standing distance away from the cabinet.
36-Ball Capacity with Front-Loading Access
The ball hopper holds 36 balls and loads from the front of the cabinet — no rear access required. Three small windows on the playfield face the operator side, providing a direct sightline into each of the three dispenser segments so ball levels can be checked without opening the cabinet.
All 30 Officially Licensed NBA Teams
Full NBA licensing covers all 30 teams, with team graphics integrated into the cabinet artwork and gameplay. The license covers the 7-inch balls dispensed as prizes, which carry official NBA branding.
How It Plays
The player shoots basketballs at the hoop within a timed window, attempting to post a score that exceeds the displayed high score. If they clear it, the cabinet's dispenser activates and drops a 7-inch NBA ball into the prize tray — a visible, physical reward event that reads clearly from across the room. Bystanders watching the dispenser fire see the ball drop in real time, which is the spectacle moment that draws the next player.

Why Operators Love It
Front-Loading Service Access
Ball refills load from the front of the cabinet. No rear clearance is needed to restock, which matters in tight floor layouts where machines are placed against walls or in rows.
Configurable Payout Frequency
The operator sets the starting high score and controls when it resets. The score then self-adjusts based on play history — meaning payout frequency is not fixed at the factory but tunable by the operator to match ball inventory and venue traffic.
Dual-Mode Ticket and Merchandise Output
The cabinet supports both merchandise dispensing and ticket payout from a single unit. Plays that don't beat the high score can still award tickets — so the machine runs as a standard redemption game between merchandise events, without requiring a second separate cabinet.
Inventory Monitoring Without Opening the Cabinet
Three windows built into the playfield face the dispenser's three ball segments. An operator walking the floor can read ball levels at a glance — no door key, no interruption to active play.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does the ICE NBA Hoops Baller dispense as a prize?
When a player beats the posted high score, the cabinet dispenses a 7-inch officially licensed NBA ball. The ball carries full NBA branding and is physically ejected from the cabinet's dispenser into the prize tray.
How does the high score threshold work on the NBA Hoops Baller?
Operators set the initial high score through the programming menu. The threshold then advances automatically based on player performance. Operators control when the score resets, giving them direct management of how frequently the merchandise prize is awarded.
Can the NBA Hoops Baller pay out tickets in addition to balls?
Yes. The machine supports a combined mode where plays that do not beat the high score still award tickets, while a high-score-beating play triggers the ball dispenser. This allows the unit to function as a standard ticket redemption game between merchandise payout events.
What is the assembled footprint of the ICE NBA Hoops Baller?
The assembled cabinet measures 117.87 inches deep by 35.02 inches wide by 111.66 inches tall and weighs 553 lbs. The 35-inch width fits within a standard single-machine floor slot.
Ideal Placement
The NBA Hoops Baller fits naturally in family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, sports bars, and trampoline parks where NBA branding carries immediate recognition. At 35 inches wide, it slots into standard single-machine positions without requiring a dedicated oversized bay. Restaurant waiting areas and pizzeria game rooms are also well-suited given the short play cycle and visible prize-drop moment.
