The Cornilleau Urban Outdoor Table is a stationary, commercial-grade ping-pong table engineered for permanent installation in public outdoor spaces. Its 7mm high-pressure laminate playing surface, 70mm Aluzinc® frame, and galvanized steel structure are built to hold up against weather extremes, impact, and loads up to 2,600 lbs — while meeting EN 14468 Class B standards and FFTT/TUV approval for leisure and school use. Developed in collaboration with para ping-pong champion Maxime Thomas, it also exceeds accessibility standard EN 14468 for wheelchair users.

7mm High-Pressure Laminate Playing Surface

The playing surface is a 7mm thick laminated resin panel — thicker than most recreational outdoor tables — producing bounce height and spin response consistent with indoor club-level surfaces. The MATTOP anti-glare finish reduces sun glare ten times more than an uncoated surface, keeping outdoor play viable in direct sunlight.

70mm Aluzinc® Frame

The frame is fabricated from Aluzinc®, a corrosion-resistant steel/aluminum/zinc alloy. At 70mm in height, it holds the playing surface level over time and resists the warping that lower-profile frames develop under sustained outdoor exposure.

Tamper-Proof Fixed Net

The net is galvanized steel with plastic protection, secured in position by both halves of the table top rather than by removable clips. This geometry locks the net against vandalism and impact without requiring tools or operator intervention to reinstall it after abuse.

Integrated Corner Protectors and Wide-Leg Stability

Rounded, integrated corner protectors cushion contact at the table's edges. The legs are hot-dip galvanized steel square tubing (60mm x 60mm) with 3D-adjustable levelling pads (104mm diameter) that compensate for uneven ground surfaces. An optional screw-down ground anchoring kit attaches the table to concrete for permanent fixed installation.

Wheelchair-Accessible Design

The Urban table meets and exceeds EN 14468 accessibility standards for persons with reduced mobility. Its proportions were developed with Maxime Thomas, a four-time Paralympic medalist in para table tennis, to ensure ergonomic clearance and reach for wheelchair users at full play height (76cm table height, 274cm x 153cm footprint).

How It Plays

Players approach from either end of the 274cm table and play directly on the MATTOP laminate surface — no net setup required, no assembly before each session. The fixed net and stationary base mean the table is always ready for play: pick up a paddle and go. From a distance, the triangular-frame silhouette and grey laminate surface read as a permanent park fixture rather than portable equipment, which signals availability to passersby.
