Professional shuffleboard table featuring solid maple construction and patented handicap scoring for fair competition between players of different skill levels.
Overview
The Grand Champion represents Champion Shuffleboard's premium table line, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern durability. Built with solid maple construction and a polymer finish playfield that never needs resurfacing, this table delivers consistent performance for both home and commercial applications. The patented handicap scoring system allows players of different abilities to compete fairly while speeding up gameplay.
Key Features
Solid Maple Construction
Features maple inlays on sidewalls and legs with solid maple cradles and legs for exceptional durability and classic appearance. Red Oak is available at no additional charge for those preferring a different wood tone.
Polymer Finish Playfield
The playing surface uses a specialized polymer finish that maintains its smoothness and consistency over time, eliminating the need for periodic resurfacing that traditional shuffleboard tables require.
Patented Handicap Scoring
Unique scoring system that speeds up gameplay while allowing players of different skill levels to compete against each other on equal terms, making the game more engaging for mixed-ability groups.
Multiple Configuration Options
Available in seven different lengths from 9 feet to 22 feet to accommodate various space requirements. Optional coin-op conversion includes bill acceptor and pingate for commercial operation.
Customization Available
Custom wood options, lighting packages, and playfield logo customization allow operators to match their venue's branding and aesthetic preferences.
How It Plays
Players slide weighted pucks down the 20-inch wide playing surface, aiming to land in scoring zones while knocking opponents' pucks off the board. Operator Notes
Coin-Op Conversion
Optional bill acceptor and pingate system converts the table for commercial operation while preventing free play. The pingate mechanism controls access to the pucks until payment is received.
Low Maintenance Design
The polymer finish playfield eliminates the periodic resurfacing required by traditional wax-finished tables, reducing long-term maintenance costs and ensuring consistent playing conditions.
Space Planning
Consider the scoring unit when planning placement - tables measure 31 inches wide without the scoring unit or 36 inches with it. The substantial weight requires proper floor support, especially for longer models.
Custom Branding Options
Playfield logo customization allows venues to incorporate their branding directly into the playing surface. Custom wood options and lighting packages provide additional differentiation opportunities.
Ideal Placement
Well-suited for family entertainment centers, bowling alleys, bars, and corporate break rooms where players of varying skill levels gather. The handicap scoring system makes it particularly effective in mixed-use environments where beginners and experienced players interact.
