Two raised, brightly lit rails run nearly ten feet. The bowling ball finds the valley between them.
Overview
The Bob's Space Racers Bowler Roller is a carnival-style rolling ball skill game built for attendant-free commercial operation. Players roll a bowling ball along a nearly ten-foot lane and attempt to keep it balanced in the valley between two brightly lit rails — a visible, suspenseful mechanic that dispenses specialty tickets on success. The unit is available in 1-player, 2-player, and 3-player configurations and supports modular installation to fill any floor plan.
Key Features
Attendant-Free Sensor Operation
Built-in sensors detect when the player releases the bowling ball and automatically reset the game for the next play. The full cycle — ball release, outcome detection, ticket dispense, ball return — runs without staff involvement at the machine.
Programmable Difficulty and Payout Settings
Electronic game controls let operators adjust difficulty levels and ticket payout rates from the cabinet. Settings can be tuned to the price point and player demographic of each specific venue without hardware changes.
Automatic Ball Release and Return
Electronic controls govern both ball release at the start of play and ball return after each round. The ball cycles back to the player position automatically, keeping the game moving without manual retrieval between plays.
Modular Multi-Player Configuration
The Bowler Roller is available as a 1-player, 2-player, or 3-player unit. Individual lane modules connect together, allowing installations to scale from a single lane to a full multi-lane bank sized to the available floor space.
2" x 4" Specialty Ticket Dispenser
The machine dispenses 2" x 4" specialty tickets — a larger format than standard redemption tickets. Guests can exchange them for prizes or accumulate tickets toward higher-value redemptions. The oversized format reads clearly in a player's hand from a distance.
How It Plays
Once play begins, the machine automatically releases a bowling ball and the player rolls it down the lane, aiming to keep it riding in the valley between the two raised, lit rails. From the side, bystanders can watch the ball travel the full 115-inch lane and teeter in the illuminated valley before the outcome resolves — a sight line that extends several feet from the machine. The game resets automatically, so the next play begins without any staff involvement.

Why Operators Love It
Staffing-Independent Operation
The sensor-based auto-reset handles ball detection and game cycling without an attendant present. The unit runs through its full play cycle on its own, making it viable for locations where dedicated game floor staff are limited.
Configurable Payout per Location
Ticket payout rates and difficulty levels are operator-adjustable via the electronic game settings. Each installation can be tuned to the audience and price point of the specific venue without replacing any hardware.
Footprint Scales to Available Space
A single lane runs 115.88 inches long and 26.25 inches wide. The modular connection system means a 1-player unit can be installed where space is tight, and additional lanes added later as floor space or demand warrants — without reconfiguring the existing unit.
Dual-Voltage Power Supply
The unit supports both 115V domestic and 230V export power at 368W draw. Operators placing the game in non-standard venues or internationally do not need a separate power converter.
Frequently Asked Questions
What player configurations are available for the Bob's Space Racers Bowler Roller?
The Bowler Roller is available in 1-player, 2-player, and 3-player configurations. Each configuration uses the same lane module design, with additional lanes connected together for multi-player installations.
What type of tickets does the Bob's Space Racers Bowler Roller dispense?
The machine dispenses 2" x 4" specialty tickets — a larger format than standard redemption tickets. Guests can exchange these tickets for prizes or accumulate them toward higher-value redemptions.
Does the Bowler Roller require a staff attendant to operate?
Built-in sensors handle ball detection and automatic game reset after each play, including ball return. The game cycles through its full sequence without manual intervention, making it suitable for locations without dedicated game floor staff.
What is the footprint of a single Bowler Roller lane?
A single lane unit measures 115.88 inches long by 26.25 inches wide by 79.63 inches tall. For multi-player installations, each additional lane module adds approximately 26 inches of width to the combined footprint.
Ideal Placement
The Bowler Roller fits naturally in family entertainment centers, FEC arcades, and midway-style redemption floors where lanes can run along a wall. Trampoline parks and bowling center arcades with longer straight wall runs can accommodate multi-lane configurations. The open lane format also suits carnival-style game rooms in resort or hotel entertainment areas.
