The cabinet exterior glows. The target flips on its own between games. A second camera watches the board.
Overview
The Arachnid Galaxy 3 Fire is a commercial soft-tip electronic dartboard built on the Galaxy 3 platform, adding an illuminated cabinet exterior, a 24-inch monitor, dual onboard cameras, and an automatic target flip mechanism. It ships with both a 13-inch and a 15-inch interchangeable target, connects to the BullShooter Live network via built-in Wi-Fi for worldwide online play and NDA-sanctioned league support, and maintains full cross-compatibility with G3 Ice, G3 Plus, and Galaxy 3 Live units already in the field.
Key Features
Illuminated Cabinet Exterior
The G3 Fire is the first Galaxy 3 model to feature a glowing cabinet body. The illumination emanates from the cabinet exterior itself — not a marquee or bezel strip — making the unit visible and distinct on a dark bar or arcade floor at a distance that standard cabinet finishes do not achieve.
Automatic Target Flip
Between games, the dartboard target rotates automatically — no operator or player intervention required. The mechanism distributes wear evenly across the active target's segments rather than concentrating it on the most-used positions, extending usable surface life. Earlier Galaxy 3 models required a manual flip procedure; the G3 Fire handles it without staff involvement.
Dual Interchangeable Targets
Both a 13-inch and a 15-inch target are included at no additional configuration. The 13-inch matches standard tournament sizing; the wider 15-inch accommodates recreational players. Operators mount whichever target fits the venue's player mix, and the automatic flip mechanism works with either.
Dual-Camera System
Two cameras are built into the cabinet: one aimed at the player and one aimed at the dartboard. The player-facing camera feeds into BullShooter Live for remote match verification and player identification within league and tournament sessions. The board-facing camera captures dart placement for scoring verification. The player camera is an upgrade over the previous Galaxy 3 generation.
BullShooter Live Network and NDA-Sanctioned League Play
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the G3 Fire to BullShooter Live for worldwide online play, tracked player rankings, and remote league participation. The onboard league system is sanctioned by the National Dart Association, allowing the cabinet to host official league play. Players can join standard in-venue leagues or compete in remote leagues against players on other connected machines. League scheduling is managed through LeagueLeader.net and requires no additional hardware.
Full G3 Platform Cross-Compatibility
The G3 Fire is compatible with all existing G3-series machines — G3 Ice, G3 Plus, and Galaxy 3 Live. Adding a G3 Fire to a route or venue that already runs G3 units brings it onto the same networked setup without reconfiguring the existing machines. League data, player rankings, and statistics carry across all G3 models on the network.
How It Plays
The player steps to the throw line and selects from the available dart game formats, then throws soft-tip darts at whichever target is mounted — 13-inch or 15-inch. Onboard sensors register each dart and update the 24-inch monitor the moment it lands; during networked matches, the live score feed and player camera image are both visible on-screen, so bystanders across the room can follow the match in real time. Between games, the target rotates automatically — the mechanical flip is visible and audible, signaling that a new round is ready without staff involvement.

Why Operators Love It
Automatic Flip Extends Target Life Between Service Visits
Because the board rotates wear automatically between games, operators do not need to schedule manual target flips to maintain scoring accuracy. Target segments last longer before replacement compared to fixed-position boards — a direct reduction in consumable turnover and service call frequency.
Drop-In Addition to Existing G3 Fleets
Full G3 cross-compatibility means a G3 Fire placed at a location that already runs G3 Ice, G3 Plus, or Galaxy 3 Live units joins the existing networked setup immediately. Operators do not need to replace or reconfigure the surrounding machines — league data and player rankings carry across all G3 models on the network.
Tiered Manufacturer Warranty by Component
Arachnid covers the Galaxy 3 Fire with component-specific warranty terms: 90 days on the electronic package, 9 months on the monitor, 1 year on the darthead assembly, and 30 days on the cabinet and cabinet components. The darthead assembly — the highest-wear part in daily coin-op use — carries the longest coverage period.
27-Inch Width Fits Standard Bar Wall Slots
At 27 inches wide and 18.5 inches deep, the G3 Fire matches the footprint of a conventional upright dart setup. Operators placing the unit in an existing dart corner do not need to reconfigure the surrounding floor layout or build a dedicated alcove.
Frequently Asked Questions
What targets come with the Arachnid Galaxy 3 Fire?
The Galaxy 3 Fire ships with two targets: a 13-inch and a 15-inch. Operators mount whichever size fits the venue's player mix — the 13-inch for tournament-style competitive play, the 15-inch for recreational settings. The automatic flip mechanism works with both targets.
Does the Arachnid Galaxy 3 Fire support league play?
Yes. The Galaxy 3 Fire connects to BullShooter Live via built-in Wi-Fi and supports both standard in-venue leagues and remote leagues against players on other connected machines. The onboard league system is sanctioned by the National Dart Association (NDA), and remote league scheduling is managed through LeagueLeader.net without additional hardware.
What is the assembled footprint of the Arachnid Galaxy 3 Fire?
The assembled cabinet measures 27 in W x 18.5 in D x 83.5 in H and weighs 130 lbs. The shipping crate measures 40 in W x 30 in D x 45 in H at 160 lbs.
Does the Galaxy 3 Fire accept bills, or only coins?
The standard unit ships with a coin mechanism installed. A dollar bill acceptor is available as a factory add-on configured before the unit ships. TouchTunes Pay is also supported onboard for cashless transactions, allowing the machine to accept card payment without a separate terminal retrofit.
Ideal Placement
The G3 Fire suits bars, taverns, and nightlife venues where the illuminated cabinet reads clearly in low ambient light and dart league programs are an existing draw. Its 27-inch width and 18.5-inch depth also make it a natural fit for bowling center arcades, VFW halls, sports clubs, college student unions, and pizzerias. Multi-unit routes where networked competitive play across locations is a draw are a well-matched deployment for this cabinet.
