A spinning bonus wheel. Six colored edge lights. The 3D header illuminates letter by letter.
Overview
The Sega Capto Crane Bonus Wheel is a compact single-player crane machine built on the established Capto Crane platform, upgraded with a coin-activated spinning bonus wheel that awards one to four claw attempts per play. Its parallel edge lighting system cycles through six colors — red, blue, green, orange, yellow, and purple — giving the cabinet a floor presence that reads from across the room.
Key Features
Bonus Wheel Mechanic
After coin insertion, the bonus wheel spins and the player presses one button to bring it to a gradual stop. Where the arrow lands determines the number of crane attempts — one, two, three, or four — awarded for that single credit. The variable attempt count is determined by the wheel result, not by a fixed program setting.
Animated Parallel Edge Lighting
The cabinet's parallel edge lighting — the defining visual element of the Capto Crane line — alternates across six colors: red, blue, green, orange, yellow, and purple. The animation runs continuously during play, making the lighting visible and active from a distance on a busy arcade floor.
Letter-by-Letter Illuminated 3D Header
The bold 3D header above the prize window lights up one letter at a time rather than all at once. Like the edge lighting, it is configurable across the same six colors, so the header can be set to complement or contrast the cabinet's edge color scheme.
Prize Compatibility Range
The cabinet is sized to accommodate 3-inch (8 cm) plush bag clips at the small end, and plush prizes from 5 inches (13 cm) up to 12 inches (30 cm). This range covers the most common crane prize stock without requiring custom merchandise orders.
Adjustable Claw Controls
Claw strength and related controls are adjustable via the machine's settings, allowing operators to tune grip strength per location and prize type without opening the service compartment repeatedly.
How It Plays
The player presses one button to stop the spinning bonus wheel, watching the arrow decelerate and settle on a number — one through four — that determines how many crane attempts they receive. Each attempt plays as a standard joystick-and-drop crane sequence. From a distance, bystanders see the lit spinning wheel activate at the start of every play and the animated edge lighting cycling through colors along the full height of the cabinet throughout.

Why Operators Love It
Compact Footprint for Tight Layouts
At 32 inches wide and 33 inches deep, the Capto Crane Bonus Wheel fits standard single-crane slots and leaves aisle clearance in dense floor plans. The single-unit configuration ships in a 39 x 39-inch footprint, loadable in quantity — 10 units per 20-foot container, 39 per 40-foot.
Fast, Accessible Restocking
The cabinet is built for straightforward restocking without tools or extended downtime. The prize range — standard plush stock from 5 to 12 inches — is available through typical merchandise suppliers, so operators are not sourcing custom sizes.
Dual-Voltage Power Compatibility
The unit runs on both 110V and 220V at a consistent 200W draw. A single cable handles the full installation — no external power conditioning or converter hardware required for either voltage standard.
Configurable Lighting Color Scheme
Both the edge lighting and the 3D header color are adjustable independently across six options. Operators can match the cabinet's color scheme to the surrounding floor layout or seasonal theming without any hardware changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the bonus wheel determine the number of crane attempts on the Capto Crane Bonus Wheel?
After the player inserts a coin, the bonus wheel spins automatically. The player presses one button to stop it, and wherever the arrow comes to rest determines the attempt count — one, two, three, or four claw attempts for that credit. Each attempt then plays as a standard crane drop sequence.
What prize sizes fit inside the Capto Crane Bonus Wheel?
The cabinet is designed for 3-inch (8 cm) plush bag clips and plush prizes ranging from 5 inches (13 cm) to 12 inches (30 cm). This covers the most widely stocked crane merchandise sizes without requiring custom orders.
What are the assembled dimensions and power requirements for the Capto Crane Bonus Wheel?
The assembled cabinet measures 32 inches wide, 33 inches deep, and 82 inches tall, weighing 287 lbs. It runs on 110V (2A) or 220V (1A), both at 200W — no external converter is required for standard North American or international installations.
Can the cabinet lighting be customized per location?
Yes. Both the parallel edge lighting and the 3D header lighting are independently configurable across six colors — red, blue, green, orange, yellow, and purple — without hardware modifications. Operators can set the color scheme to match the surrounding floor or a venue's theme.
Ideal Placement
The Capto Crane Bonus Wheel fits naturally in family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and movie theater lobbies where crane machines are a standard part of the prize game mix. Its 32-inch width slots into single-crane footprint allocations, and its 82-inch assembled height clears standard commercial ceiling clearances. The cabinet also suits pizzeria game rooms and mini-golf clubhouses where a compact, self-contained prize game is preferred over larger multi-player configurations.
