Two kid-height hoops. One illuminated Pac-Man marquee. Both hoops active at the same time.
Overview
The Namco Pac-Man Baller Jr. is a two-player redemption basketball game scaled specifically for young players, featuring a lower cabinet height and smaller hoops sized for kids to shoot at comfortably. It pairs the twin-hoop, head-to-head format of the full-size Pac-Man Baller with a compact footprint and the instantly recognizable Pac-Man theme, making it a natural fit for family-focused venues that want an attraction calibrated for their youngest guests.
Key Features
Kid-Scaled Cabinet and Hoops
The cabinet stands at a reduced height compared to standard arcade basketball machines, and the hoops are sized proportionally for younger players. A child can step up to the lane and reach the target without assistance — the geometry of the machine is the differentiator, not a difficulty setting.
Twin-Hoop Two-Player Layout
Two hoops sit side by side on a single cabinet, each serving one player simultaneously. Both players shoot at the same time within a timed game window, competing head-to-head on a shared scoring display. The side-by-side configuration means two paying players per game cycle on one machine footprint.
Illuminated Pac-Man Marquee
The backlit marquee carries the Pac-Man graphic treatment — yellow character, ghost imagery, and bold game logo — lit from within so it reads across the room at arcade ambient lighting levels. The Pac-Man IP is one of the most widely recognized in entertainment, legible to parents and children alike without any prior arcade context.
Compact Footprint
The Jr. cabinet is smaller than the full-size Pac-Man Baller, designed to fit into floor plans where a standard-width basketball machine would not. It occupies a single lane slot and can be placed against a wall or in an island configuration without requiring additional clearance for player approach.
Ticket Redemption
The Pac-Man Baller Jr. dispenses tickets based on game performance, connecting it to any standard redemption counter setup. Ticket payout parameters are configurable by the operator to match the venue's prize economy.
How It Plays
Each player stands at their own lane and shoots basketballs at their hoop within a timed window, with both lanes running simultaneously — two kids competing at the same instant on the same cabinet. From across the room, the activity reads as a coordinated two-player contest: balls in the air, lit marquee overhead, scores updating as shots land. The ball return feeds both lanes continuously throughout the game cycle, keeping the action visible and uninterrupted.

Why Operators Love It
Two Paying Players Per Game Cycle on One Cabinet
The side-by-side twin-hoop layout runs both players simultaneously on a single coin-op cabinet, collecting two credits per play without requiring two separate machines or two separate floor slots.
Configurable Ticket Payout
Ticket output is operator-adjustable, allowing the payout rate to be calibrated against the venue's prize redemption margins without any hardware changes. This matters in mixed-age venues where the kids' section may run different payout economics than the main floor.
Reduced-Footprint Install
The Jr. cabinet is smaller than a full-size basketball arcade machine, fitting into floor-plan slots where a standard unit would not. Venues that want a dedicated kids' basketball attraction without reallocating a full double-wide bay have a direct install path here.
IP-Backed Marquee Visibility
The illuminated Pac-Man marquee functions as a self-identifying beacon — families with no prior exposure to the specific game title already recognize the character, which shortens the time between a family walking in and a child walking up to the machine.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Pac-Man Baller Jr. differ from the full-size Pac-Man Baller?
The Pac-Man Baller Jr. uses a shorter cabinet and smaller hoops scaled for younger players, whereas the full-size Pac-Man Baller is built for standard adult height. Both share the twin-hoop two-player format and the Pac-Man theme, but the Jr. is specifically engineered so children can shoot at a comfortable height without assistance.
Does the Pac-Man Baller Jr. dispense tickets?
Yes. The machine includes a ticket redemption system with operator-configurable payout settings. It connects directly to a standard redemption counter setup and fits within any venue that already operates a ticket-prize economy.
How many players can use the Pac-Man Baller Jr. at once?
The cabinet supports one or two players simultaneously. The twin-hoop design gives each player their own dedicated lane and hoop, with both lanes running concurrently during a single game cycle.
What venue types is the Pac-Man Baller Jr. built for?
It is designed for family-oriented commercial venues — FECs, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and similar locations that serve a significant population of younger guests. The kid-scaled cabinet and Pac-Man branding are specific to that demographic context rather than a general all-ages arcade floor.
Ideal Placement
The Pac-Man Baller Jr. is calibrated for venues with a dedicated children's or family section: family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, movie theater lobbies, and pizzerias where young guests make up a consistent portion of foot traffic. Its compact footprint allows placement in tighter floor plans — kids' zones within larger venues, entryway alcoves, or redemption counter adjacencies — where a full-size basketball machine would not fit.
