An infinity mirror encases every LED inside the cabinet. No exposed tube. The light field reads from across the room.
Overview
Jumpin' Jupiter is a ticket redemption machine from Namco built around a physical jump mechanic — players time their jumps in place over a virtual, color-changing LED rope displayed at floor level. The cabinet features interstellar graphics, an infinity mirror lighting design with all LEDs fully enclosed inside the cabinet, and two selectable game modes with a configurable skill-based jackpot.
Key Features
Infinity Mirror Cabinet with Fully Enclosed LEDs
All cabinet lighting is housed inside the infinity mirror structure — no external tube lights are exposed to the play area. The mirror creates a deep, layered light effect visible from across the arcade floor without the fragility of externally mounted fluorescent or neon tubes.
Color-Changing LED Rope at Floor Level
The virtual rope is rendered as a color-changing LED element projected at floor level inside the cabinet. Players time their jumps to clear it as it cycles, giving bystanders a clear read on whether the player is on pace — the rope changes color as the game progresses, providing a visible rhythm cue from outside the play zone.
Two Game Modes: Single Rope and Double Rope
Single Rope mode presents one jump target per cycle. Double Rope mode adds a second rope, requiring faster timing and coordination. The two modes let players self-select difficulty, from younger guests making first attempts to returning players pushing for the jackpot.
Configurable Skill-Based Jackpot
The jackpot threshold is configurable by the operator, allowing ticket payout levels to be tuned to venue economics. Jackpot qualification is skill-based, tied to the player's jump timing performance rather than a random trigger.
Internally Housed Motion Sensors
All movement detection hardware is mounted inside the cabinet enclosure. The play area in front of the machine has no external sensor arms, floor pads, or wired peripherals — the floor space remains clear and the play zone is defined entirely by the cabinet's footprint.
How It Plays
The player stands in front of the cabinet and jumps in place, timing each jump to clear the LED rope as it cycles at floor level — the color-changing rope and the player's feet are both visible to anyone standing nearby. In Double Rope mode, two ropes cycle simultaneously, and the faster tempo is immediately readable from outside the play zone as the LED pattern intensifies. Successful jumps accumulate tickets; reaching the operator-set jackpot threshold triggers a payout burst visible through the cabinet's infinity mirror display.

Why Operators Love It
Clear Play Zone, No Floor Hardware
Because all motion sensors are enclosed inside the cabinet, there are no external sensor arms, floor mats, or cables extending into the walk path. The active play area is defined by the cabinet's own 27-inch depth — no additional clearance buffers required for sensor hardware.
Reduced Lighting Maintenance Risk
Enclosing all LEDs inside the infinity mirror eliminates exposed tube lights — no external bulbs to replace from physical contact, vibration, or general wear. The light assembly is a single enclosed unit rather than a series of individually accessible tubes.
Operator-Configurable Jackpot
The jackpot ticket threshold is set in the operator menu, allowing payout levels to be adjusted without hardware changes. Operators can dial the jackpot to match local ticket economics and redemption counter inventory without a service call.
27-Inch Depth Fits Tight Floor Plans
At 27 inches deep, the cabinet fits against a standard wall slot or in a row with other upright redemption units without requiring extended aisle clearance for the active play mechanic — because all sensor hardware stays inside the cabinet envelope.
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the assembled dimensions of the Namco Jumpin' Jupiter?
The assembled cabinet measures 65 inches wide, 27 inches deep, and 88 inches tall. Shipping dimensions are 67 in W x 34 in D x 92 in H at a shipping weight of 325 lbs.
How many game modes does Jumpin' Jupiter offer?
Jumpin' Jupiter includes two modes: Single Rope and Double Rope. Single Rope presents one jump target per cycle; Double Rope adds a second simultaneous rope for a faster, more demanding challenge.
How does the ticket jackpot work on the Namco Jumpin' Jupiter?
The jackpot is skill-based — it triggers when a player's jump timing performance meets the operator-configured threshold. The threshold level is adjustable in the operator menu, so payout can be calibrated to match the venue's ticket program.
Are there any external sensors or floor hardware required for Jumpin' Jupiter?
No external sensor hardware is required. All motion detection components are mounted inside the cabinet enclosure, so the floor area in front of the machine remains clear of wires, pads, or sensor arms.
Ideal Placement
Jumpin' Jupiter is well suited to family entertainment centers, trampoline parks, and bowling center arcades where active-play titles draw younger guests and accompanying adults. Its 65-inch-wide, 27-inch-deep footprint fits standard wall-lined redemption rows without requiring extended floor clearance. Movie theater lobbies and pizzeria game rooms with high family foot traffic are also natural fits for an upright ticket redemption title of this physical profile.
