A motorized tram cradles the ball and travels the full length of the playfield. One button releases it.
Overview
Drop It Drop It by Komuse is a single-player ticket redemption game built around a motorized ball-drop tram that traverses the full length of the playfield. The player's only control is timing — pressing one button to release the ball from the moving tram at the right moment. A ring of large, color-lit scoring holes surrounds a center star-shaped Magic Hole, with the highest ticket payout reserved for the dead-center shot.
Key Features
Moving Tram Ball-Drop Mechanism
A motorized tram assembly cradles the ball and travels the full forward length of the playfield before the player releases it. Tram speed varies, so the player must read position and pace before committing to the drop — the entire challenge is timing and spatial judgment, with no secondary inputs to manage.
Star-Shaped Center Magic Hole
The large star-shaped hole at the center of the playfield is the bonus target, awarding the highest ticket payout when the ball enters it. After the drop, the ball bounces and rolls across the playfield surface, giving the shot a visible travel arc that bystanders can follow from a distance.
Large Color-Lit Scoring Holes
The surrounding scoring holes are oversized and backlit with color LEDs. Their size keeps near-miss shots in play — the ball can roll and redirect toward adjacent holes rather than dying off the edge — and the lighting makes the scoring array visible to anyone standing near the machine.
Full-Skill Redemption Format
Ticket outcome is determined entirely by the player's timing of the drop relative to tram speed and position. There is no random element — the same read of the tram's speed and the same button press produces the same result, giving experienced players a repeatable skill target to refine over successive plays.
Dual-Voltage Power Supply
The cabinet accepts both 110V and 230V at 50Hz or 60Hz, making it deployable in North American venues and international locations without a separate step-down transformer.
How It Plays
After coin-in, the tram holding the ball begins its forward pass across the playfield — the player watches the tram's speed and position, then presses one button to release the ball at their chosen moment. The ball drops, bounces, and rolls toward the hole array; landing in the center Magic Hole awards bonus tickets, while surrounding holes award standard payouts based on which hole the ball enters. From outside the machine, the rolling ball and the lit hole array are visible throughout the entire play cycle.

Why Operators Love It
Single-Button Interface Limits Wear Points
The entire player-input system is one button. Fewer mechanical inputs mean fewer interface components to wear, mis-register, or require adjustment over a service cycle — a straightforward serviceability advantage on a high-cycle redemption title.
Wide Voltage Range Simplifies Installation
110V and 230V compatibility at both 50Hz and 60Hz means the unit plugs into standard North American circuits — one less component to source, install, and maintain compared to units that require a step-down transformer.
Open Playfield Keeps the Machine Visible Between Plays
The ball's drop, bounce, and roll toward the lit hole array all occur above the playfield surface — the entire outcome is readable from the surrounding floor without looking at a display. The color-lit holes remain active between plays, keeping the cabinet visually present on the floor when idle.
No-Prerequisites Mechanic for Mixed-Age Venues
The mechanic — watch a moving object, press one button — has no prior gaming knowledge requirement. Younger players and casual players can engage the machine on a first attempt, which is relevant in mixed-demographic venues like FECs and bowling centers where the player age range is broad.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Komuse Drop It Drop It award tickets?
The machine awards tickets based on which hole the ball enters after the drop. Surrounding holes pay a standard ticket count, while the center star-shaped Magic Hole awards a bonus ticket payout above the standard amounts.
What is the assembled footprint of the Drop It Drop It?
The cabinet measures 33.1 inches wide by 88.7 inches deep by 96.2 inches tall and weighs 868.8 lbs assembled. The depth reflects the full playfield length the tram travels across during each play cycle.
Is the Komuse Drop It Drop It a skill game or a chance game?
It is a full-skill game. The ticket outcome depends entirely on the player reading the tram's speed and pressing the button at the right moment — there is no random number generator or spinner determining the result.
What power supply does the Drop It Drop It require?
The cabinet accepts 110V or 230V at 50Hz or 60Hz. It connects to a standard North American outlet without requiring a separate transformer or voltage converter.
Ideal Placement
Drop It Drop It is built for family entertainment centers, bowling center arcades, trampoline parks, and mini-golf clubhouses where mixed-age foot traffic is common. Its 33-inch width fits into standard wall-slot arcade arrangements, and the nearly 8-foot cabinet height suits open arcade floors with standard commercial ceiling clearance. Movie theater lobbies and pizzerias with dedicated game areas are also natural placements for a single-player redemption title with a short, self-contained play cycle.
