Overview

The Ticket Time RFID from Smart Industries is a coin-operated crane machine that uses the Ticket SMARTS RFID system to eliminate loose ticket handling. Instead of dispensing paper tickets, the playfield is stocked with pre-wound ticket rolls embedded with RFID tags — when a player successfully retrieves a roll, an attendant scans it at the redemption counter and credits the value directly to the player's card, then returns the roll to the playfield. The machine is available in three cabinet configurations: a single-station 31", a wider single 45", and a dual-station 61" double that supports two simultaneous players within one footprint.

Ticket SMARTS RFID System

Each ticket roll in the playfield carries an embedded RFID tag with an assigned ticket value. When a player wins a roll, an attendant scans it at the redemption counter and credits the corresponding value to the player's swipe card. The roll is then returned to the playfield, eliminating the need to count, tear, or restock tickets after each win.

Three Cabinet Configurations

The Ticket Time RFID is available in 31", 45", and 61" cabinet widths. The 31" and 45" are single-station units; the 61" Double houses two independent crane stations side by side, allowing two players to compete simultaneously on a shared footprint. Operators can select the configuration that best fits their available floor space and traffic volume.

LED Front Frame Illumination

All cabinet configurations feature fully illuminated front panels with single-color LED lighting. The upper and lower frame floor casting includes LED edge lighting, and LED edge-lit dual coin comparators are also included. LED color is selected at time of order from seven options: Blue, Green, Yellow, Purple, Pink, Red, or Orange.

High-Security Cabinet Construction

The console is constructed from 18-gauge steel and includes steel security padlock tabs on both the console and the front glass door. The cabinet is tamper-resistant and coat hanger-proof, with an independent locking coin box and tempered safety glass on the front viewing panel. Front panels are built from durable Lexan.

Operator Control and Gameplay Settings

Each station includes a 4-way joystick, a 7-segment LED credit/timer display, and an interactive sound system. A "Play Till You Win" mode is available and can be toggled on or off via dip switch. The machine ships DBA-ready with an Imonex coin mechanism as standard.

High-Volume Playfield

The playfield is designed for high-capacity ticket roll storage, reducing the frequency of restocking during heavy play periods. The prize hole per station measures 6.5" x 7.5". The medium claw assembly is standard; small and large claw assemblies are available as optional upgrades.

How It Plays

A player inserts coins or tokens to activate their station, then uses the 4-way joystick to position the claw over a field of ticket rolls with varying values. After releasing the claw, the machine attempts to grip and retrieve a roll. A successfully retrieved roll is brought to the redemption counter where an attendant scans the RFID tag and credits the ticket value to the player's card; the roll is then returned to the playfield for the next player.

Bill Acceptor Options

The machine ships DBA-ready but does not include a bill acceptor in the base configuration. Optional bill acceptor upgrades are available: a DBA with 500-bill stacker (Pyramid, ICT, or MEI) and a US/Canadian unit with 400-bill stacker (CoinCo). These are ordered as separate add-ons.
