Running lights circle the cabinet. Fifty-four ounces of candy fill the prize compartment.
Overview
The Coastal Amusements Sweet Shoppe Crane is a candy-dispensing claw machine built for commercial venues. Its candy-themed cabinet holds up to 54 oz of product and includes a "Play Until You Win" feature that guarantees players walk away with a prize on every qualifying play. The compact footprint — 25 inches wide by 28 inches deep — makes it practical for tight floor plans without giving up vertical presence at 75 inches tall.
Key Features
Play Until You Win Mechanism
The machine's firmware tracks each play and guarantees a prize delivery after a configurable number of attempts. The claw strength adjusts automatically so that once the threshold is reached, the grip is sufficient to secure the prize. Operators set the threshold through the programmable settings menu.
54 oz Candy Capacity
The prize compartment holds up to 54 oz of bulk candy. The enclosed hopper keeps product visible through the cabinet windows while protecting it from handling until the claw delivers it. Restocking requires opening the cabinet and refilling the hopper — no external bins or trays to manage.
Programmable Pricing and Options
Pricing per play, claw strength, and win threshold are all configurable through the onboard settings. This allows operators to adjust payout economics per location — higher-traffic venues can dial in tighter win rates; lower-traffic spots can loosen them to move more candy.
Electronic Coin Comparator
The built-in electronic coin comparator validates coins mechanically and electronically, reducing slug acceptance and misfires. An optional bill acceptor can be added to the cabinet for locations that prefer or require paper currency input.
Running Light Package
Decorative running lights ring the cabinet exterior and cycle during attract mode. The light pattern is visible from a distance and draws attention to the machine when idle on a busy floor.
How It Plays
The player uses the joystick to position the claw over the candy pile, then presses the button to drop. The claw descends, attempts to grab, and returns to the chute — and if the Play Until You Win threshold has been reached, the grip is strong enough to deliver a piece of candy to the prize slot. From the outside, bystanders see the claw moving over a full, colorful load of candy with running lights cycling around the cabinet, making activity on the machine readable from across a lobby or game room.

Why Operators Love It
Compact Footprint for Tight Locations
At 25 inches wide and 28 inches deep, the Sweet Shoppe Crane fits in wall slots, counter ends, and queuing areas where a full-size crane cabinet would not. The 75-inch height gives it floor presence without requiring overhead clearance beyond standard drop ceilings.
Consumable Restocking is a Single-Step Refill
The 54 oz hopper holds a meaningful volume of bulk candy, and restocking is as simple as opening the cabinet and pouring in product — no ticket rolls, no prize bins to sort, no plush inventory to track. Operators running candy cranes on route stops find the resupply process faster than comparable plush or prize machines.
Configurable Win Rate Through Onboard Settings
Pricing per play and the Play Until You Win threshold are both adjustable through the programmable menu — no additional hardware or service call required. Operators can tune payout economics at the cabinet for each specific location or as candy cost changes over time.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the Play Until You Win feature work on the Sweet Shoppe Crane?
The machine tracks the number of plays per session and adjusts claw grip strength automatically once a set threshold is reached. Operators configure the threshold through the onboard programmable settings. When the threshold triggers, the claw grips with enough force to deliver a piece of candy to the prize chute.
What type of candy or product works in the Sweet Shoppe Crane?
The machine is designed for bulk candy that can be held by a claw mechanism — wrapped hard candies, gumballs, and similarly sized and weighted confections are standard. The hopper holds up to 54 oz of product at a time.
Does the Sweet Shoppe Crane accept paper bills?
The standard cabinet ships with an electronic coin comparator for coin payment. A bill acceptor is available as an optional upgrade for locations that require paper currency input.
What is the assembled footprint of the Sweet Shoppe Crane?
Assembled, the cabinet measures 25 inches wide by 28 inches deep by 75 inches tall. The shipping carton measures 33 inches wide by 36 inches deep by 78 inches tall and ships at 260 lbs.
Ideal Placement
The Sweet Shoppe Crane fits well in family entertainment centers, pizzerias, bowling center arcades, and trampoline parks where a candy prize appeals to a younger demographic. Its 25-inch width makes it viable for convenience store counter areas and restaurant waiting areas where full-size crane cabinets would not fit. Mini-golf clubhouses and movie theater lobbies with limited floor space are also natural locations for this cabinet size.
