Players have a choice of aiming the
sliding coin entries to try and hit one of the two outside targets while they
are flashing. The bonus sequence starts when an outer target is it which in turn
starts the opposite target to flash for a fixed time period of eight seconds. In
order to activate the center jackpot target the flashing target must be hit
before time runs out. If the target sequence has been met then the center
jackpot will flash for eight seconds and if hit will dispense a preset number of
coins or tickets. Standard setting is 20, what this bonus feature does to
enhance revenue is promote rapid coin play to hit the targets before they stop
flashing. More coins dropped per hour is more revenue in the cash box versus the
traditional way pushers were played.
The mystery jackpot is progressive
but the player never knows what it is and accumulates at a preset rate with a
preset maximum. Standard setting is bonus increments by one for every five coins
played with a maximum cap of 200.
One of two things can happen, anytime the target is hit while lit the
accumulated bonus will be dispensed from the internal hopper and then the bonus
resets to zero or when the bonus accumulates to its maximum which in this
example is 100 it will dispense 100 coins from the internal hopper so a player
will never know when they could just get lucky!
